What is DRM and why do I want to remove it?
Digital Rights Management (DRM) is a security step embedded into digital files like .wma and .wmv
that prevents people from sharing these files. The way Napster and Rhapsody DRM works is that you can download unlimited tracks from their websites as long as you maintain your monthly subscription. You also can download unlimited tracks during your free trial subscription as I did in my video. The DRM in this scenario will allow you to listen to your music on your computer or for an additional fee with napster you will be able to download it to an approved MP3 player which by the way doesn't include iPop. You can however save and listen to your downloaded music files on up to three computers for no additional charge. Until you pay for each individual track or for the whole album you will not be allowed to convert the files to mp3 or be allowed to burn the tracks to a CD. My method as seen in the video makes all this possible without paying.
The reason you would want to remove the DRM is to allow you to do as you please with the downloaded music file without paying the 99 cents. Its your file, its on your computer and you got as part of your free trial or monthly subscription so shouldn't you be able to back it up and listen to it in other places besides just your computer. Its all legal until you start selling the music or put it on a file sharing network. So to start getting massive amounts of music or movies for practically free just sign up with Rhapsody or Napster and use tunebite for free and keep all the music. you can't beat it. If you like the system I use then buy tunebite and pay a monthly fee for napster all the music you convert to mp3 for free will pay for itself in minutes.
